OPERATION: NAZI SMASHER (Charity Product)

ADD TO WISHLIST >
Selected Option:

A Hypercorps 2099 adventure set in WW2 for PCs of 16th level, 8th level [Hyper Score 6], or 8th level (Mythic Rank 5-6) using the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and Hyper Score rules.

After the despicable display of bigotry and hatred in Charlottesville VA in August 2017 a group of artists, designers, and writers joined me to do something about it. This thrilling adventure is the result of our work and the proceeds of every single purchase go directly to charitable efforts focusing on anti-hatred causes (specifically but not limited to the Southern Poverty Law Center and Black Lives Matter).

Everything you need to play the game is included and you have our gratitude for taking part in the fight against injustice. Go pick your favorite patriotic superhero from Task Force V (or make your own) and smash some nazis!

What’s inside Operation: Nazi Smasher:

  • Cover artwork by world renowned illustrator Claudio Pozas

  • A full color 19 page adventure for raiding the bowels of Castle Verzweifer, the last and most desperate effort of the Reich’s final days at the end of World War 2

  • Four full-page maps for a nazi outpost, the exterior of Castle Verzweifer, and the dungeons below it

  • Original illustrations for every character in the module as well as full-page pieces by a coterie of great artists

  • A dozen different nazi statblocks to defeat including SS soldiers, genetically modified commandos, occult mages, mad scientists, and Baroness von Helena Kriegstalhz the Heldenschlager (Killer of Heroes)

  • TASK FORCE V: A team of 7 alter sapiens in one of the Allied Forces’ most powerful teams of special agents—enough pregenerated PCs that the game can begin as soon as the last player sits down at the table [included in print, separate download for PDF]

  • The entire Hyper Score system with revisions, improvements, and updates from its original iteration so if the party wants to make their own patriotic super heroes, everything they need is available

  • A reprint of the Veloces base class for the player that demands to be a speedster

  • PDF for printing out Character Pawns for every NPC and pregenerated PC in the adventure [included in print, separate download for PDF]

  • High-resolution versions of all the maps for use with VTT (4 versions of each map)

PLAY TIPS FROM ORDER OF THE AMBER DIE
(Check out their playthrough at www.OperationNaziSmasher.com!)

Start the first game session by showing a clip from Band of Brothers to open the adventure—start Episode 2 at 4:32, fade out volume at 5:32 and read the following before the module’s beginning readaloud:

In these planes: Easy Company, 101st Airborne Division, who air-dropped into Normandy on the Day of Days, who paid lives for houses in Carentan, who survived surrounded in snow at Bastogne—who found a way through to the end of the war. The men of Easy Company are your companions on this mission...

As the party parachutes onto the nazi outpost, add this extra readaloud:

As soon as they open fire, you hope that it's staccato burst of MG 34, but instead it’s the distinct sound of something far worse. A sound created by the release of so many bullets in rapid succession that they become indistinguishable from each other—soldiers who’ve faced it describe it only as the sound of a bed sheet tearing...these are MG42s, one of the most feared weapons in the nazi arsenal.

I'd like to say I can't believe some of the comments here, but the really sad thing is, not only I can, I'm not even surprised. Hitler being punched in the face is objectively a good thing, and anyone who has a problem with that is probably a nazi and deserves to be punched in the face as well.

i was interested in buying this game, but after reading how terrible a person the creator is, i will not be buying it, but i would still play it just to see how full of false narratives and lies about "the white man". and as mike stated himself he doesn't want my money, so maybe he should give away his product to us who don't agree with funding terrorists and fear mongers :)

This adventure looks good and I'm a WW2 history buff, but I can't in good conscience put money towards an organization like BLM who seem to label anyone from a red state as a Nazi.

That's just fine! There was no need for you to share your willful ignorance here though, and trying to cast an entire movement as discriminatory towards one region is pretty offensive in itself. In particular I find this troubling because the logic of it is very conflated—for example, I don't think anyone in the Black Lives Matter movement believes that, say, black people from Alabama are nazis.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to be a terrible human being though, and for letting us know about your problem. Good luck with that.

In my opinion, what a person of good conscience would do when confronted with my ignorance is point out where I am wrong and attempt to get me to change my mind. That would be the inclusive thing to do, to try to increase support for Black Lives Matter. Instead, you post a personal attack and tell me to go away which just pushes my support, my vote, and my money, further away.

Let me be perfectly clear with you: I do not want your money. I do not want money from nazis either.
If you think that supporting Black Lives Matter equates to anything other than supporting equal treatment of people between races, and that you have to share this horrendously misguided and clearly racist opinion—*particularly while cities riot over yet another ridiculously, offensively unnecessary murder of a peaceful and law-abiding black man by white cops*—then you need to leave. You are part of the problem and my job isn't to fix you, my job is to gather funds to support people who are much better equipped to do that.

Please go further away, preferably far enough where your rationalizing ego-stroking diatribes aren't loud enough for anyone else to bear witness. Thank you. ♥

A black statue of liberty punching Hitler? Is this some sort of propaganda?

I don't think so. This is not a historical document (nor is it meant to represent one), it is an adventure module set in the (fictional) Hypercorps 2099 universe and all proceeds go to support anti-hatred charities that actively resist hatred groups like nazis. There are suggestions for where to geographically place the nazi castle the adventurers raid, but that's about it. The figure on the cover is the Crown of Liberty, one of the pregenerated characters included in the module for players to use. :)

1: You do understand something can be propaganda despite it being fictional, correct?
2: "all proceeds go to support anti-hatred charities" Ahh yes, the SPLC who scored so low on CharityWatch for transparency and Governance they sued to have their scores hidden, and according to CharityNavigator only tells you what they do with *half* the money they receive.
And Black Lives Matter - who aren't a charity by any legal definition.
Great 'charities' guys, should have given the money to the ACLU or similar group who *actually does something.*

1. I certainly do! There is not however anything misleading inside of Operation: Nazi Smasher--it is a very straightforward RPG scenario where you stage an assault on a nazi-held fortress in WW2, and none of the content within is unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something (it is very fairly prejudiced against nazis though, but I think that's fairly obvious by the title and is something nazis worked super hard to earn from humanity at large.)
2. The SPLC specifically resists nazis, as does Black Lives Matter. We support the ACLU and encourage their work, but this is a very specific charity project meant to countermand a tragedy caused by nazis--we are giving all the proceeds from it to the people fighting nazis. I'm positive that the ACLU does that in the course of their good work, but in order to have the maximum effect we are putting the money into the hands of organizations that actively resist nazis and racism as their central focus.
Black Lives Matter is an integral part of resisting...See more

I've seen a lot of BLM protests and honestly, they seem far too inclined to see racism and nazis everywhere for me to consider them a reasonable charitable organization.

I too have seen many protests associated in one way or another with Black Lives Matter and while there are always overly aggressive individuals in any group, as an institution it is absolutely vital to overcoming racism (and therein nazism) here in the United States--they actively oppose nazism through nonviolent means, and we support people doing that. We cannot enforce rules and regulations on them however, but we're extremely confident that the leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement are capable of doing so, and moreover, are capable of making a big difference for the side of good (and so we're actively working to enhance their ability to do so and encourage others to do the same :D).

Because propaganda is defined as "information used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view."

And when you have a strong black women, dressed in what appears to be an American flag and wearing a statue of liberty crown, punching hitler, it feels like an image designed to promote a particular belief. Now I have no issue with actual nazis being punched in the head by just about anyone, but given the current harshly divided political climate I can't help but feel weary about this sort of material.

Facist, communist, nazi, socialist, alt-right, regressive left, racist, sexist, etc get thrown around a lot, and sometimes they get thrown at people who don't really deserve that label. Its easy to just point at someone and say "They're a nazi" because they don't believe the way you believe. Its easy to point at someone and say they're "Liberal scum" just because they believe something different.

Whenever I see really elevated...See more

It's no more or less propaganda, than having Steve 'Captain America' Rogers punching Hitler, or Wonder Woman, and most people seem on board with that.

Is this playable using the Pathfinder core book and its own Hyper Score rules? Or does this require other Pathfinder books? And does this pose any special problems for adaptation to other systems?

Absolutely! You could play through the adventure with characters built only using regular Pathfinder Roleplaying Game standard rules, or use the pregenerated characters (which have Hyper Score rules built-in), or use the Hyper Score system (included in the adventure) to make your own hyper characters. **No additional books are required to play this adventure.**
Adapting this to 3.5 should be fairly simple (and the Hyper Score system will revert just fine). Otherwise it'd depend on the system you are converting to (5E would be not so bad for regular PCs of 15th-16th level, a little trickier if using Hyper Score).

This is a great adventure (nothing like punching Hitler in the face to life one's spirits), but where can we find the PDF with Task Force V and the character pawns? I haven't been able to find a link.

Also, is the "V" in Task Force V for 5, Victory, or something else? Just curious. :)

The hyperlinks for pregenerated characters and pawns should have come in an email after you bought the PDF. If they did not, email me at mike.myler.adventures |at| gmail.com and I will get you sorted.

And I'll ask Steve (who made Task Force V). ;)

Howdy Peter,
Awesome question! It's actually a number designation of the unit, so 5, but the War Department chose that number specifically to use the "V" sign and cash in on the "V for Victory" campaign. Task Force V was built as a visible presence, so the War Department wanted a name that would be both memorable and inspirational. The Liberty Corps (from the Hypercorps historical timeline) would have been the first superhero taskforce.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
